Detailed Installation Process for Cable Tray Fittings
Cable tray fittings (elbows, tees, crosses, reducers etc.) installation must comply with standard specifications to guarantee stable load bearing, safe cable routing transition and neat overall layout. Below is the installation process:
- Step 1: Site Preparation & Line Marking: Clear construction waste, smooth mounting surfaces, mark bracket positions with 2.0–3.0m standard support spacing, confirm positioning for turning, branching and size transition points of fittings.
- Step 2: Post Installation & Concrete Fixing: Drill and clean anchor holes, install level brackets within 3mm total horizontal error, fasten firmly with expansion bolts and wait for filler full curing (minimum 24h).
- Step 3: Fitting Alignment & Gap Reservation: Lift fittings carefully to prevent surface scratches/deformation, align pre-drilled mounting holes with adjacent straight trays, reserve 2–5mm expansion gaps between fitting and tray sections, temporarily lock in position.
- Step 4: Connection Fitting & Bolt Fastening: Match anti-rust bolts, nuts, gaskets and connecting plates, torque bolts to 30–50N·m for even tightness at all lap joints between fittings and straight trays.
- Step 5: Straightness & Stability Double-Check: Inspect fitting flatness (max 2mm per meter) and bracket verticality (total ≤3mm), adjust loose or tilted components at transition joints promptly.
- Step 6: Final Cleaning & Acceptance: Wipe off surface dirt with non-corrosive cleaners, fully inspect all connection and installation indexes, rectify defective joints before handover.
