1. Customer Background
The customer is a modern intelligent manufacturing enterprise focusing on automated production, packaging equipment operation and industrial supporting engineering. The factory workshop has a semi-harsh environment with moderate floating dust, normal humidity and continuous equipment heat generation. A large number of power cables, control lines and signal transmission cables are laid throughout the production line and equipment area.
The customer previously used two types of cable trays for wiring: fully solid bottom trays and fully open mesh trays. Solid bottom trays cause poor natural heat dissipation, leading to long-term cable heat accumulation and accelerated insulation aging. Mesh trays deliver excellent heat dissipation but cannot block fine dust and tiny debris, resulting in frequent cable dust accumulation and increased maintenance costs. To balance dust protection and heat dissipation and realize standardized and safe cable laying, the customer cooperated with BDCABLETRAY to customize Channel Perforated Cable Tray for full workshop wiring upgrade.
2. Project Requirements
Combined with the workshop’s medium-dust and continuous heat-generation working conditions, the customer put forward balanced and comprehensive technical requirements for cable support facilities:
- Balanced Dust Protection & Ventilation: Block large particles and debris pollution, while reserving uniform heat dissipation holes to avoid cable overheating.
- Stable Structural Load-bearing: Integral channel-type solid structure to ensure stable bearing for dense layered cable laying without deformation or sagging.
- Anti-corrosion & Durability: Adapt to long-term indoor industrial environment with dust and slight humidity, resisting rust and aging.
- Low Electromagnetic Interference: Optimized perforated structure reduces signal interference, ensuring stable operation of precision control lines.
- Convenient Inspection & Maintenance: Avoid excessive dust accumulation on cables, reduce cleaning frequency and improve line troubleshooting efficiency.
- Standardized Overall Layout: Unified channel modeling to improve the neatness and standardization of factory electrical wiring.
3. BDCABLETRAY Channel Perforated Cable Tray Solution
Aiming at the industry pain points of single-function solid trays and mesh trays, BDCABLETRAY technical team launched a professional Channel Perforated Cable Tray integrated solution. The product adopts integral channel solid base with orderly arranged precision punching holes, combining the dust-proof advantages of solid trays and the heat dissipation advantages of mesh trays. It is the most versatile wiring product for medium-dust industrial workshops, perfectly solving the dilemma of “good ventilation without dust protection, full protection without heat dissipation”. 4. On-Site Installation & Operation Effect
Before Installation
The workshop used fully solid bottom cable trays in the early stage. The completely closed structure led to poor air fluidity inside the trays. A large amount of heat generated by cable operation could not be dissipated in time, resulting in high local temperature, accelerated cable aging and potential short-circuit risks. When switching to mesh trays later, although the heat dissipation problem was solved, floating dust accumulated seriously on the cables, requiring regular manual cleaning and bringing high maintenance pressure. The two types of trays could not meet the workshop’s dual needs of heat dissipation and dust prevention at the same time.
After Installation
After installing BDCABLETRAY Channel Perforated Cable Tray, the workshop realizes optimized and balanced cable protection. The integral channel solid base effectively blocks large floating dust, equipment debris and falling impurities, avoiding thick dust accumulation on the cable surface. The uniformly arranged bottom holes form a natural air convection channel, which quickly discharges cable operating heat and completely solves the overheating problem of fully closed trays.
The overall structure is solid and stable with strong load-bearing capacity, adapting to long-term dense cable laying without sagging or deformation. The standardized perforated design reduces electromagnetic signal interference and ensures stable transmission of workshop control and communication signals. After long-term operation, the internal cables are clean and dry with low aging rate, and the daily maintenance workload is greatly reduced. The unified wiring layout also significantly improves the workshop electrical standardization and safety level.

5. Customer Evaluation
“BDCABLETRAY’s perforated channel cable tray perfectly solves our previous wiring dilemma. It avoids the overheating problem of fully closed trays and the dust accumulation problem of mesh trays. The product has solid workmanship, reasonable punching design and balanced performance. It greatly improves the safety and stability of our workshop electrical system and reduces later maintenance costs.”
